runes for several fire spells, wind spells, and undead crumble spells and a cake. You also need standard dessert gear. It
is helpful to have a ring of charos and a little food for yourself.
Starting the Quest:
Start by talking to Lazim, South of the Bandit Camp in the desert
close to the quarry. He will ask you if you have time to help him. You will ask “With what?” He tells you he was
once a sculptor. He made statues of kings and Queens but there was an accident. He could no longer hold a chisel. Now he wants
to build a statue in the desert. Since he can’t hold a chisel he will guide you in crafting the statue for him. You
will also need to quarry stone for the statue.
Making the Statue:
There is a pick-axe in the mining area that you can take. Quarry out 32kg of
stone and take it to Lazim. He will hold the stone for you until you get enough but he will not take more. He will give you
back the 32 kg stone after he puts it together. Use the chisel with it to make the base. He will then tell you to put it on
the ground beside him. Use the statue base with the flat ground. Talk to him again. He tells you he needs 20kg for the body.
Use the chisel with the body then put it on the statue. Talk to Lazim again. Use the chisel with the statue again. Talk to
Lazim and he will tell you it needs a head and ask you who you think should be on it. Then get a 5 kg black on granite this
time.
The Real Truth:
Put the head on the statue and you will fall in a hole. Lazim tells you it was all
part of the plan. Then he tells you there is treasure there and the doors take limbs to open. Use your chisel with the statue
and remove all the limbs. Take the limbs to each door and open them. Each time you open one you will get a cut-scene. Also
take the sigil from Pedestal in each room and using it with the appropriate door. Then go back to Lazim and get the statues
head. Go to the center room and climb the ladder. Use the head with the pedestal. It doesn’t quite fit. Go back to Lazim
and ask for help. He will tell you to get an impression somehow. Use the soft clay with it. Climb out of the temple and go
back to the mine and get another block of granite and chisel it into the proper shape. Keep the chisel through the entire
quest.
Go back to the temple. There is a secret entrance to the southeast of the mine. Use the head with the pedestal and you
will get another cut-scene. Lazim will appear, talk to him and he will tell you to solve the problem with each room.
For the frozen fountain, use a fire spell to melt the ice. For Pentyn, give him the cake. For the smokey furnace, cast
a wind spell to clear the chimney. For the dark room, examine each brazier and use the appropriate fuel source (Reg logs,
Oak Logs, Maple logs, willow logs, candle, coal)
Finishing the Quest:
Climb stairs, talk to bone-guard. Use undead crumble spell on him then he will
disappear leaving 5 big bones for you. Go passed the pile of bones and you will climb down the stone staircase. There is a
larger boneguard there. Put on Protect from Melee and talk to the boneguard. It will tell you it is trapped there by Enakhra
and will ask you to build a wall to protect it from her magic. Build the wall then there will be another cut-scene and you
will have finished the quest.
